The home kit was all sky blue with navy and white trim, and included the famous Hummel chevrons on the shoulders. The shirt was an updated version of the classic the ‘half and half’ ‘ design made famous by the Denmark national team of the 1980s, when Hummel first provided kits for Coventry City. Bespoke to the Sky Blues it also featured the words “Lets All Sing Together’ on the inside neck and a gradient fading out the stripes.
The kit was announced on 5 July 2019.

City wore a poppy on their shirts for the home game with Accrington Stanley on 2nd November.

The goalkeeper kit had a navy and green shirt that featured a ‘honeycomb’ style linear pattern. Shorts and socks were navy with green trim on both. Ben Wilson’s shirt for the 1st Round FA Cup tie at Rochdale didn’t have any sleeve patches when the rest of the team wore the FA Cup patches.

The away kit was based on the same template as the home kit – but with a yellow shirt with navy and white trim. Navy shorts and socks with yellow trim on both completed the outfit.

The away goalkeeper kit used the same ‘honeycomb’ template as the home goalkeeper kit but was all red with white trim.

The third kit commemorated 40 years of 2 Tone. The 2 Tone music movement originated in Coventry, fusing traditional ska and reggae with musical elements of punk rock and new wave music – and was made famous by bands including Coventry’s The Specials and The Selecter, plus Madness, The Beat, Bad Manners and others.
At a time when racial tensions existed in Britain, many 2 Tone bands featured a mix of black, white, and multiracial people. The bespoke kit brought together elements that made the 2 Tone movement famous, the distinctive checkerboard design features across the front of the shirt – with top half of the shirt white, and the bottom half black.
The back of the shirt featured Walt Jabsco – an image that many will also recognise from the artwork of the 2 Tone era. In recognition of the role of 2 Tone had in racial harmony, the logo of Kick It Out, the anti-racism and discrimination charity, featured on the inside panel of the shirt and a donation was made to them from the sales of the shirts.
The kit was announced on 11 October 2019.
