Coventry City 9th | Manchester City 8th (22)

This is one of the best results since promotion and confirms City’s form as more than a flash in the pan. Three headers sink the FA Cup holders. Hunt crosses for Martin, then Machin lays on two for John O’Rourke. Roy Barry is the hero as Coventry make it five wins in a row.
