Chris Kirkland sent off for foul on Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, denying a goalscoring opportunity, 22 minutes

Kirkland’s dismissal for ‘fouling’ Jimmy Floyd is a travesty and is later overturned. On-loan keeper Alan Miller’s protection is woeful and new boss Ranieri’s team let rip for City’s biggest defeat since 1991. The Dutchman is the first to score four against them since Ian Rush in ’84.
