Tottenham Hotspur 17th | Coventry City 6th (20)
Spurs have been docked two points for failing to fulfil the opening day game and almost lose three more. They haven’t beaten City since before the 1987 Cup final, though Sedgley almost wins this game, a free-flowing affair with much goalmouth action. £2 million Gascoigne is quiet.
Programmes shown are from the postponed and re-arranged fixtures.
