A tall composed centre-half who had two loan spells with City before Steven Pressley signed him permanently in January 2015. When Tony Mowbray replaced Pressley as manager he wanted a more aggressive leader at the back which the laid-back Martin agreed was not his natural personality. He was released at the end of his contract and joined fellow League One side Oxford United.
