A product of City’s youth Academy who appeared in the FA Youth Cup final team in 2000. Lee was a spiky midfielder who made an instant impression when introduced to the first team by Roland Nilsson. He was a regular on the bench during the first season out of the Premier League and his tenacious approach and good passing ability seemed to indicate he could make it. However disciplinary issues on and off the pitch meant his progress was stalled and despite scoring a goal to help knock his home town club out of the FA Cup in 2003 he was released that summer.
He joined Huddersfield and helped them to a play-off victory in 2004 and later played for Scarborough and Burton Albion. Lee who won 12 Welsh Under 21 caps.
