Ken Hibbitt
Bobby Gould signed the experienced midfield player from Wolves in the summer of 1984. The 33-year old was expected to provide some experienced cover for injuries but ended up being a virtual ever-present in his first season. In his second season he lost his place to Lloyd McGrath and left the club in 1986 and joined Bristol Rovers.
A bad leg break ended his playing career in 1988 and he began coaching under Gerry Francis. The pair won promotion for Rovers and Kenny was appointed manager of Walsall, who he led to the Division Three play-off final in 1994. From there he went to Cardiff and had three separate spells as manager of the Welsh club before moving into non-league with Hednesford Town. Kenny played over 500 games for Wolves in a sixteen year career and won League Cup winners medals in 1974 and 1980. After management he was a referees assessor with the Premier League.
