Full-back Brook was signed from Loughborough Corinthians and spent all his 4 seasons in the reserves. His opportunity came when first Vic Brown and then Charlie Bisby were injured. After a few steady performances he returned to the reserves, and his only other first team appearances came in the Division 3 (South) Cup, when he gained a winner's medal in April 1936. He was sold to Southend and played 3 times for the Shrimpers derore transferring to Bristol City, for whom he made 71 League appearances in the 2 years before the war started. During the war he guested for both Nottingham clubs, and retired in 1942.
