Harry Storer acquired Heinemann from Manchester City to the dismay of many of the Maine Road faithful who felt that he had a bright future. He was a strong left half who was a regular for his first season at City, but he lost his place to the up and coming Harry Boileau. He showed his value at Selhurst Park and later for Clapton Orient. He scored only 2 goals in his career, but the one for City was notable for it was the fifth in the 5-5 draw against Fulham, in January 1932.
