Signed on a free transfer from WBA, White was a speedy winger who could play on either flank, but much preferred the right. He was quick and elusive and provided many superb crosses for the striking partnership of Bourton, Lauderdale and Lake.

White chipped in with a useful supply of goals, including 2 in the Club's record victory, 9-0 against Bristol City in April 1934. He lost his place and moved onto Newport. He played only 17 times for the Somerton Park club, before bowing out of League football aged 25.
