The younger brother of Jock Ramage, Peter Ramage was a stylish inside forward who proved to be a good link man between the defence and centre forward, particularly at Derby. His stay at City was short, but he helped to breathe fresh life into the club at a time of great despair. Unfortunately, he was sold to Derby for £1500. Whilst City needed the money, Ramage could have helped City to better things.

He proved his worth with The Rams, scoring 60 goals in 255 games. He was still playing non-League football after the war.
